IJ Start Canon Pixma MG8220 Drivers Download– The Canon Pixma MG8220 photo All-in-all is recommended for quality photos and unique features than document print quality and speed for people with more interest.

PROS

  • Excellent photo prints
  • Unique and useful features
  • Good text/Photo printing speed

Disadvantages

  • Processing time
  • Abnormal printer Error
  • Expensive ink replacement

Canon Pixma 8220 uses the same design and size (approximately 16 x 19 x 8 inches if not used), as in the previous generation’s MG 8120, but canon used a matte finish on the new model, unlike the old gloss closure, and I prefer it. Not only is it easier to take photos at the photo lab, but it also reduces annoying fingerprints, stains and dust.

The Pixma mg 8220 features an intelligent touch system and an adjustable 3.5-inch LCD. For Canon users who know, Easy scroll wheel is now adopted by touch-sensitive scroll wheel.

For the top panel, access the 48-bit flatbed scanner with a film adapter device embedded in the lid. Users can scan or copy documents and photos up to 8.5 x 11.7 inches in size with a maximum optical resolution of 4800 x 4800 dpi.

Pull down the front panel (the familiar Canon logo displays the spot). There is a makeshift tray.

Do I need to replace the ink cartridges? Lift the top of the device to access six cartridge ink systems with five dye-based cartridges (CMYK plus Gray) and one black pigment-based cartridge. I was pleased that Canon used the CLI-226 and PGI-225 cartridge lines to make it easier for customers to use.

The internal memory card reader and the front USB/PictBridge port are in the lower right corner. Compatible media include SD memory cards without adapters, SDHC, MultiMediaCard, MultiMediaCard Plus, CompactFlash cards, Microdrive, Memory stick, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo, and Memory Stick Pro Duo.

The Pixma 8220 is equipped with two-way paper feeder with 150-sheet rear-feed folding tray and 150-sheet paper cassette on the front, which allows users to print on a variety of paper sizes ranging from 4 x 6 inch photo paper to regal size copy paper.

All wired connection ports are on the back of the Pixma MG8220. Connect your device via a high-speed USB 2.0, Ethernet, or wireless connection.

Install Pixma MG8220
Canon offers Getting Started folding for users who initially installed the Pixma mg 8220. You will be asked to unpack the printer, unlock the scanner, connect power, and select a language. You can continue to follow the Getting Started Guide or follow the interactive guide of the MG 8220 on the display.

Either way, you need to install ink and perform print head alignment. When finished, insert the paper and insert it into the supplied CD.

The Setup Wizard on the CD performs most of the work to let you choose the connection type and software installation. If you choose the wireless setting as I did, the wizard will guide you through the other interactive guides that you set through the Pixma 8220.

Ease of Use
Most of the features that the PIXMA 8220 offer are shipped with the Pixma MG 8120, including Canon’s Cloud Link, special image filter printing, and CD/DVD/Blu-ray printing.

With the cloud link, you can wirelessly print photos and images from your Canon Gateway and Picasa accounts by accessing the Advanced Photo menu and selecting Print Online album. At the time of this writing, it was not possible to select documents and attachments from Google docs and Gmail using the software application in the control Panel of the MG 8220.

The Pixma iP4920 reviews have made it easy to navigate this new product, having a special image filter print feature and new disk label printing capabilities. You can access the special image filter printing function via the Canon Solutions menu. Then select the image you want to add an effect to, then choose from five options (fish eye, small, toy camera, soft focus and blur background). When you’re done, you can save a new, interesting image and then proceed with the photo printing software. Below you can see the fish eye effect from one of my favorite puppy pictures.

The disc label/Case cover feature works via the Easy-photoprint EX software and is easy to use. Select the disk template, select the image, and then choose the layout and editing options before printing.

It was much easier to take a picture of the touch panel on the Pixma 8220. This is due to its matte black appearance in contrast to the black glossy appearance seen in the Pixma 8120. The interface remains the same as the MG 8220 with a total of 12 default menu items, thanks to the 3 icons and new software that fill the 3.5-inch LCD screen (copy, scan, and photo by default).

When you select a specific menu, the panel changes and only the buttons required for continuous navigation are turned on. Therefore, each menu is unique, making it easier for all users to navigate. The only standard lighting key is the navigation wheel, the home and Back buttons. Unless there is already on the home page and no other options pop up.

For example, if you select Copy, the panel displays six additional buttons: Black and color copy start key, plus and minus keys for print copies, and keys for two submenus.

I am terrible at not touching the control panel despite the fact that the backlight touch-sensitive button works through the current as opposed to pressing the finger. But thanks to the new Matt black finish you don’t have to worry about fingerprints.

The Canon Solutions menu ex has been updated slightly thanks to a new feature with seven menus, including two menus full of shortcuts for photo printing and image scanning. However, the new Solution menu allows users to bypass shortcuts, access applications directly, connect to online Canon add-ons, purchase consumables, get help, and adjust settings.

The MP Navigator ex was updated to version 5.0, but there was no noticeable change to the software. It still performs automatic scanning and automatically splits multiple images into separate scans and scans books, the film scans and provides binding shadow removal function for memory card/flash drive import option, so users can import all information from memory card or USB flash when you connect the drive to the printer, upload all photos without using the camera, USB cord or external card reader I can.

Scanned all sample photos from the print quality test using the Canon Pixma MG8220 scanner.

The Canon Easy-photoprint ex looks almost identical to the previous software except for the disc label option (which is included in the Pixma 4920). As mentioned in the previous Pixma reviews, the Easy-photoprint EX software is very easy to select the image, select the paper, and then choose the layout and editing options before hitting the printout.

Ink Control Test
In our test, we consume a new set of cartridges (print until color is missing). Consumables means that the printer does not replace and does not print a different quality document. Prints one page of color as a percentage of black and white text on page 3. Because we felt that the average user was printing more text than color, we decided on a percentage of 3:1.

The Canon Pixma mg 8220 contains six different standard capacity ink cartridges: One Canon PGI-225 black ink tank and five Canon CLI-226 dye-based color cartridges Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, black and gray. The current Canon U.S.A. site cannot use high-capacity cartridges for this writing.

At a rate of 3:1 in Canon’s standard print mode, the Pixma mg 8220 printed a page that is a little over 300 pages before the pigment black ink cartridge begins to show signs of fatigue through the computer’s status bar.

On page 382, on my PC, pigment-based black ink expired (low ink) and was known through a popup window.

With the Pixma 8220, only one ink cartridge that is expired can be printed continuously, but the above pop-up warning warns you about continued printing due to printer damage. I was printing a large document, so if the pigment ink has expired, I have finished printing over 400 pages.

This number is very similar to what you saw in the Pixma MG8120 test (using the same ink set), so the Canon 225/226 cartridge works fairly consistently.

I did not receive paper jam or feed error during my ink test, but there was one printer error. The Pixma 8220 has been working on the job and threw the same unknown error message on the computer and the LCD, suggesting that the printer is powered off and turned on again. I did not do other things during the test.

Energy test
The Pixma 8220 is zoomed to 27w when there are some print attempts at sleep, but the energy consumption when printing documents is close to 18-24w. When printing photos The energy consumption was slightly lower between the 11-18W.

When the MG 8220 is in ready mode, the energy usage was about 8w. In the sleep mode (LCD off), the MG 8220 draws about 3w of energy.

Canon Pixma MG8220 Photo All-in-one is an advanced inkjet printer with unique and useful features that allows you to quickly print basic text and text. I like the intelligent Touch system. It actually helps the user to navigate the menu easily. The Pixma mg 8220 definitely has a style.

But it’s not perfect. I still had to deal with long turnaround times during our exams. I would like to see this printer coming out of sleep mode. Canon would like to know how to speed up printing with IPM color 9.3. Is there a way to avoid having the printer stop between each page? If so, it will definitely be a plus.

And as with many inkjet on the market today, ink replenishment is expensive. I have a standard capacity cartridge printed at least 400 pages during the third ink test (we saw similar results to the previous generation Pixma MG8120 and Pixma 5220).

What leads me to the next point. In addition to some minor changes, the Pixma MG 8220 seems to be a clone of the Pixma MG 8120. It’s not bad since I thought Canon did a great job for the first time. However, Canon wanted to see a part of the problem, namely processing time.

Overall, I liked the Canon Pixma MG8220 photo All-in-one, and recommended this photo to users who are more interested in quality photos and creative features than the quality and speed of document printing.

Pricing and Availability
The Canon Pixma MG8220 wireless Photo All-in-one will be available at the recommended retail price of 299.99 dollars through canon and authorized suppliers this fall.
